Kemet University is a private university being established in Egypt under the law no.12 for the year 2009. The University is being established on 19 acres of land in the Universities District in the city of Badr, the land was allocated by the Urban Communities Authority. The Authority is a branch of the Ministry of Housing and Development. The Ministerial Decree (553) dated 28/7/2020 was issued with its approval of the urban design plan. The Ministry of Higher Education welcomed the establishment of the university on 25/12/2017 with the name of Kemet University (Under establishment). The application to the Ministry of Higher Education is in process to establish the University, in preparation for the issuance of the presidential decree which is the establisher of the University. The permits for the buildings of the Faculties of Sciences and Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as Business Administration, have been issued, and the construction works are making stellar progress.

– The word KEMET is the first name for Egypt throughout history. It resembles the black fertile land of Egypt, the source of giving for all its people. Rooting from our name’s meaning, we at Kemet University aspire to follow the same path.
